Compress or resize a photo to a KB range
For online application forms that ask for a JPG between, say, 20 KB and 50 KB, or exactly 350 × 350 pixels.
Private by design: your photo is processed only in your browser with the Canvas API. It is never uploaded to any server.
FAQ
How do I make a photo 20–50 KB?
Upload the photo, set Min KB 20 and Max KB 50, and download. The tool searches the JPEG quality (binary search) and, if needed and allowed, reduces the pixel size until the file fits.
Is 1 KB 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Forms differ, so the tool uses the strict side of each: the maximum is counted as 1000 bytes per KB and the minimum as 1024 bytes per KB. The result passes either way.
Can it make a file bigger to reach the minimum?
Only by keeping more quality or more pixels. If a simple image is still below the minimum at top quality, enter a larger width/height.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser with the Canvas API.
